Kale and I really enjoyed our trip to Houston!
Here was the first view we saw of the big city.
I was absolutely amazed at how many lights there were! haha. As you can tell, Friday night we got there a little late and were warned not to venture out too far in the area at night (not knowing where we were and all) so we decided to just stay at the hotel and have dinner at the little restaurant and called it a night.
My favorite part of the hotel???? This place!!
They had a little bridal room set up and I just fell in LOVE! Made me think of ya, Jacquie!
Saturday morning, we met with Kale’s boss to see the office. We had a plan to go to the top 3 apartment complexes we liked that we found online. After the office, we headed straight for our first choice…AND FELL IN LOVE! They didn’t have the one that we chose online open to tour, but this one is very similar to the one we got, just smaller. I am so ready to get some patio furniture and enjoy the warm nights!
(above picture is our actual building! Pretty cute, huh??)
EEEEKK! I can’t wait!
After finishing all the paperwork, we drove around the area to get a feel for things…and what do ya know. WE FELL IN LOVE! Everything is just so neat and well kept. Everyone was out playing catch, walking their dogs, or cleaning their cars. It seriously reminded me of Wisteria Lane (hopefully without all the drama!)
That evening we drove around some more and had dinner at a really nice Italian restaurant close to the mall. Here is the view from there.
SO quiet and clean! I promise it would be safe to eat off the sidewalk! haha. There was no trash ANYWHERE! And the shopping…OH BOY!!! It’s going to be very convenient when it’s time to decorate our new place!! :) Yep… I think I’m going to be a pretty content little wifey in this neck of the woods!! Oh, speaking of! EVERYTHING is hidden behind woods! You don’t just drive around and see buildings. You see woods with a nice, lit up sign with a company’s name out front and you know to turn in there. It really is incredible. That’s just genius, master planning right there!!!
Ahh! Can ya tell I enjoyed myself!?!?
P.S. I give some major props to the future Hubbs. He DROVE us around. Yep. That’s right…never driven there in his life. 4th largest city in the U.S. and we didn’t get lost once…I think I’ll keep him :)
P.P.S. The pool is open YEAR ROUND…oh, yea…this could be great :)
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed yourselves just as much as we did.
